My name is Geraldine Whalley and since 2012 I have been specialising in creating custom dog portraits from my customers own photographs. Initially working solely with oil paint, but more recently, I’ve gone back to my roots and introduced coloured pencil with gouache, for pet portraits, which are proving extremely popular.

Many of the photographs customers supply are taken on the spur of the moment with absolutely no intention of creating a portrait from them later. More often the photographs are the only reference left of a dearly loved, but sadly departed family member.

My aim is to create an original, characterful, unique, hand painted pet portrait, a keepsake that will last, not only for now, but for generations to treasure.

All portrait commissions are completed using the finest, professional quality tools and materials.
